Matt Goforth - Owner

Being a 2nd generation Commercial Contractor has given me the opportunity to work on and produce many different types and styles of Commercial Construction, from government to the private sector to multifamily and everything in between. My Father started our family firm in the late 1970s and as a young teenager was involved in the day-to-day operations of our firm which was based in the Kansas City markets.

I worked all through my teen years and twenties in our family firm, while attending High School and later College as our company grew and expanded to do work in over 25+ states. Following college, I went home to work in the family business once again. I continued working for our family firm full-time until I eventually started my own firm as my father retired. All told I personally have over 25+ years’ experience and often tap into my father’s wealth of knowledge as he now serves as a consultant in our firm.

Part of my achievements include being on TV for construction, for the Extreme Home Makeover show. I was the General Supt. for the 7 homes in 7 days project after the Joplin Tornado incident.

Our firm focuses on quality and building relationships. Our efficiency and attention to detail allow us to continue doing the first two.

Gary Goforth - Executive Consultant

With over 40 years of experience, Gary’s wisdom, and advice helps influence Goforth Construction and all of its projects in a constant positive direction. All of his adult life has been dedicated to the successful execution of commercial real estate development projects across the country. His commitment to hard work, accurate execution, and concern for each customer shows in every facet of Goforth Construction.

Kevin Steele - Senior Project Manager & Vice President of Construction

We feel very blessed to be able to add the type of knowledge, expertise and veteran leadership that Kevin represents. Kevin holds a major role in our construction development and oversees most of our jobs in the Southeast as our Senior Project Manager. Kevin’s many years in the Commercial GC hospitality arena and working with resort companies such as Bluegreen grants him a level of experience that can’t be duplicated.

Andrea Demster - Director of Operations/Project Manager

Andrea’s intentionality and personality bring a lot of value to our team. She assists us in Managing all Projects, as well as Estimating and overseeing all HR items. She has an extensive background in: Project Managing, Estimating, Multi-Family Construction, Industrial Construction, Food Services and much more. We are very blessed to have Andrea on our team.

Matt Borgmeyer - Superintendent

We are overjoyed to add Matt to our family and look forward to his expertise in the field and beyond. It’s rare to have a talented individual like Matt in this industry and we value the opportunity. With over 25 years in the construction industry, 15 as a superintendent, he has been blessed to work on a variety of projects ranging from residential, retail, hospitals/healthcare, banks and hotels.

Sam Patel – Assistant Superintendent

Sam has a passion for innovation in building techniques and learning all things construction from the ground up. His leadership skills contribute to our commitment to delivering excellence in every aspect of our projects. Sam is currently acquiring his master’s degree in construction engineering management at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Tom Demster - Superintendent

Tom has been with us since November of 2022, and has been a valuable asset to our company. He has previous experience as a master electrician for many years, and still holds his master’s license to this day. He also has experience in being a superintendent for the last 3 plus years, and does a great job of overseeing any project we put in front of him. We are grateful to have him on our team.

Mike DeGraffenreid - Superintendent

Mike’s dependability and attention to detail is what makes him so valuable as a Superintendent. Mike works in a variety of management superintendent roles for us and each one he does with care and efficiency. I often say Mike is our elder trim carpenter, even though he’s a young man, because of this attention to detail. If Mike is your Superintendent, rest assured it will be perfect when he’s done. We’re very blessed to have him in our family.

Taylor Altman - Project Coordinator

Taylor’s attention to detail and superior organizational skills make her the perfect compliment to our Project Management Team. From assisting Andrea and Kevin with contracts and charge orders, to tracking certificates of insurance and W9s, to entering invoices and pay applications into the accounting system, there isn’t much Taylor doesn’t help out with. Taylor also holds a Real Estate license in the state of Missouri and is our in-house Realtor!

Chloe Williams - Accountant

Chloe is our dedicated in-office accountant, overseeing every aspect of our financial operations. From reconciling accounts and managing payroll to vigilantly monitoring cash flow, Chloe ensures that every dollar is accounted for and optimized for maximum efficiency. With her expert oversight, our accounting department operates seamlessly, providing the backbone for our financial success.
